The textbook, __Getting to Know ArcGIS Desktop for ArcGIS 10__, a best seller since its original publication in 2001, is a hands-on workbook for beginners. It comes with a free 180-day trial version of the software, and a CD containing all exercise data to be used in this course.|
|+||**George Jackson** has been teaching community college students for 26 years, 16 years for Brookhaven College (Dallas) and the rest at Collin College. He has a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). He holds two graduate certificates in Geospatial Information Systems from UTD. He is all-but-dissertation for his PhD in Geospatial Information Systems, also from UTD. He and his wife, Mary, have 5 children (all grown), and 10 grandchildren.|
